Privacy Policy

London Date Generator (“we”, “the app”) helps you plan dates in London. This policy explains what data we handle and why. We keep it minimal on purpose.
What we store, and where
Most of your data never leaves your device. Your taste profile, saved dates and history are stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device. We do not have accounts or a central database of users.
If you choose to add your name or email, these are also stored locally in your browser. Your name is only used to greet you. Your email is only used if you ask us to email a date to you.
When data is sent off your device
- Generating dates: the preferences you enter (area, budget, vibe, optional profile notes) are sent to our server to create date ideas.
- Emailing a date: if you tap “email me this date”, your email address and the chosen date are sent to our email provider so the message can be delivered.
- Sharing a link: a shared link encodes the date itself in the URL. Anyone with the link can view that date.
Service providers we use
We rely on trusted third parties to run the app: Anthropic (date generation), Google Places (venue details and photos), Skiddle (events), Tavily (web search), Resend (sending email) and Vercel (hosting). Data shared with them is limited to what each needs to perform its function, and is handled under their own privacy terms.
Retention and your rights
Because your profile and saved dates live on your device, you can remove them at any time by clearing them in the app or clearing your browser storage. Emails you have sent yourself live in your own inbox. Under UK data protection law you can ask us about the limited data we process and request its deletion.
